A round on the 10th of August

I’m looking a get a bunch of people together for a round on Saturday the 10th of August. I haven’t decided where we are playing yet, I’m keeping my eye out for any Scoopons or Cudo vouchers that we may be able to use. Leave a comment here or on our Facebook page if you want to come along 🙂

Pipped at the post

Neil, Trevor, Ian & myself played in the annual La Trobe University golf day out at Growling Frog. We finished the day 2 of the stick under in an ambrose comp. We were relegated to second place on a count back 🙁 Our back nine wasn’t so flash which cost us. The guys that won, it was their first win after many attempts & a great bunch of blokes, so we were happy for them………… sort of 😉

Birthday Round

Here we go. Birthday rounds of golf this year are at 13th Beach. We have booked a group for the 5th of December at 10:36. You have to pre pay at the course so we can’t book extra spots. There are groups availbale on either side so if you want to join us please ring them up & book yourself in. Below is a link to the costs & a contact number. Our group is booked under Trevor. Email me or leave a comment if you are intersted in playing.

A round on the 11th of June

I’m looking to organize a hit of golf on the 11th of June for anyone that’s interested. I was thinking either Yarrambat or Growling Frog. Let me know if you are interested & which one you would prefer to play. Majority wins, unless the weather is crap then we call the whole thing off 🙂

9 Holes after work

Neil & I headed out to Strathallan golf course for a quick 9 after work. I had to duck out early otherwise we wouldn’t have made it. As it turns out we only just finished up before it got dark. The course is in great nick, the fairways & the greens are well looked after. If you are looking for a qucik 9 holes you can’t go past this place. Neil gave me a bit of a touch up this round. I think from Memory he had 4 pars & a birdie & flogged me by about 6 shots. Well done Neil, I’ll get you next time 🙂

Kilmore with the RSL

Had my first hit out for the year with the Epping RSL on Sunday. We headed out to Kilmore, which like a lot of the country has coped a fair bit of rain over the last few weeks. The ground staff hadn’t had a chnace to mow the greens for a little bit so they were a little furrier than normal 😉 Funny thing is, I had my best day with the putter for a long time, winning the least putts for the day with 29. It was hot day with little or no breeze & I was struggling by the 18th yet somehow managered to finish the day par, par. It was good to get back out again & it’s always nice to play with the RSL & Kilmore course was in pretty good condition.
